Sheryl Lewin, M.D.

I am a Craniofacial trained, board-certified Plastic Surgeon who has devoted my career to ear reconstruction for Microtia using the Technique of a high-density porous, polyethylene auricular implant covered by vascularized fascia and skin. Over the past 11 years, I have created well over 600 porous implant auricular frameworks for both children and adults.

I’ve had a long experience using Medpor polyethylene implants for my surgeries, but in February 2015, I began using SU-POR Surgical Implants. I found that the development of the SU-POR line of products was able to incorporate enhancements to the material properties that allow the implants to be more easily shaped and carved without losing their strength or porosity. I find these enhanced properties preferable from my technique, and now use SU-POR as my first-line implant.

The first child I operated on with a SU-POR Implant is shown to the right, before and 4 months after one operation.

I am an Ophthalmologist and hold certification with the American Board of Ophthalmology. I have devoted my career to ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery over the last 25 years. I’ve had long experience using Medpor polyethylene implants for my surgeries, and in 2015, I was introduced to Su-Por Surgical Implants. I found the implants to have similar properties, preferable for my technique.

After using Su-Por implants for over two years, I am happy with the results I can achieve with this product and plan to continue using Su-Por as my primary implant in the future.

Furthermore, the Flor-Tec Composite Orbital Floor, CAT numbers 4233, 4232, and 4244, is a useful implant. The Cor-Tech Sphere ocular implant, CAT numbers 4042, 4045, and 4047, is a useful implant.

Arturo Bonilla, M.D.

My name is Arturo Bonilla, M.D. I am a pediatric microtia surgeon located in San Antonio, Texas, USA. I have the largest pediatric microtia practice specializing in the cartilage technique in the United States and one of the world’s largest practices overall.

I have been using polyethylene implants during the separation phase of microtia surgery for many years now. I was previously using the Medpor implant, where I had to individually carve a wedge from a basic block of polyethylene. After hundreds of cases, I always felt that this could be performed more efficiently.

Several years ago, I was introduced to Aaron Noble, founder of Su-Por (Poriferous). In one conversation, I voiced my concern to Aaron, and in the same conversation, he was already designing the wedge implant I had desired for many Years. Within a few days, I already had the implant prototype in my hands and shortly thereafter, I was using the implant on all of my pediatric microtia patients. In my 20 years of surgical practice I have never…

I hereby attest to the quality and good performance of the porous polyethylene sphere. We had a good experience and were satisfied with the Su Por material sphere which was used on a pediatric patient. Quadro-Port Sphere Eye Implant from Poriferous, LLC, United States of America.

The suture holes in this sphere facilitate the procedure and reduce operating times. It allows suturing of the rectus muscles without the need to use an implant wrap with an excellent cosmetic result reflected in superior motility and greater stability of the implant within the orbital cavity.

I have had the privilege of incorporating Su-Por Surgical implants, by Poriferous, LLC, into my practice. These implants have proven to be a game-changer in the way we approach reconstructive procedures. The biocompatible, porous polyethylene material of Su-Por implants allows for excellent tissue integration, which is critical in achieving long-term stability and natural-looking results, especially in the pediatric population whose growth and development are ongoing concerns.
